The adventure with automation begins with one of the founders of AG Controls Ltd. – Grzegorz Majerski. As a child, Grzegorz was interested in how various electronic objects work. He loved to disassemble and reassemble old radios, computers and other things that came into his hands. As a teenager, he was mainly interested in working with a computer. When someone in the family, neighbours or friends had a problem with this equipment, Grzegorz was always able to solve it. He was also very good at science subjects such as mathematics and physics. He participated in numerous competitions with very good results. At the time of the decision to study, Grzegorz considered various paths for further development, but after reading the article in the magazine for high school students, he found an article about a field of study that seemed to be ideal for him – mechatronics. It combined both – work with the computer and on the site. During his studies, Grzegorz also discovered his fascination with industrial robots.
He graduated with very good results and defended his master’s thesis. While still a student, he started working and gaining experience in the automation industry. He developed his skills at work and in his free time – as a hobby.
He inspired Aneta – a co-founder of AG Controls Ltd. – with his passion for automation. Aneta has a bit shorter experience in this industry, however, she learns from the best and constantly expands her knowledge in programming, visualization and robots programming.
The decision to start our own business was not easy to make, because we were both employed – with certainty that we will get paid at the end of every month. However, following the statement that
“easy things do not bring satisfaction in life”, we decided to take a radical step of leaving safe positions (first Grzegorz, and 7 months later Aneta) and to work as freelancers. It required a lot of courage and reflection from us, but in November 2018 we started working as a self-employed under AG Controls brand.
Currently, we have several satisfied customers. We have the opportunity to travel around Europe and if there is such an opportunity, we are also open to cooperate with companies from the other continents.
Most of our projects concerned companies in the UK, but we also took part in projects in France and Poland.
In the future, we want to develop our company and employ more qualified engineers. We would like to deal with projects on a bigger scale.
